Dancing in the Reign of Grace is my new blog title, but credit for it goes to Pastor Pat Griffiths. 4 1/2 years ago I took a class with Pastor Pat that would forever challenge the way I think, and live. Grace was the theme, anthem and battle cry of that class and I am forever thankful to God for sovereignly allowing our paths to cross. Glory Be To Our Great God!

Blogging is hard!!!

I think the title of the this post says it all!!! Blogging is hard work, and at times you can go months and months without even posting a single thing....or maybe that is just me. So to all of you out there that sometimes check this blog, or to those of you that have happened upon it, sorry for the lack of blogging but I'm hoping to get better.

In my upcoming posts I'm hoping to share the truths that I have learned about what Christ has accomplished on behalf of us, when He died and rose again. To me, the Grace and Love of our great God is something that affects every area of my life and draws me closer to Him. So, until that time ENJOY HIM!!!

New Blog Title

Okay, so I changed the blog title once and for all. Hopefully you like it but if you don't it's okay! Please read the paragraph below the picture, it helps explain where the title comes from. There is so much theology packed into that little statement, and the implications of what lies therein is staggering. God's grace truly is amazing, and overwhelming!

The Title of the Blog

I know some that will come across this blog, or visit it, and wonder "why that title?" If truth be told, I have often wondered that at times as well, but the reality of life is that we have all been there. We've had those moments that seem hypocritical, were we say one thing but do another, not that we are defined by those moments but the reality still remains. No place does this seem more clearer, then in the Christian life.

As Christians our lives are marked by joy and sadness, hope and despair, victory and defeat. At times the faith that gave us wings to fly, is the very faith that fails us in the night, and the truth that once seemed bright and glorious, fades with the passing of time. Sometime we cry out like Paul, "who will deliver me from this body of death..." but we are answered with silence. It is at these moments that we feel like hypocrites, and our experiences betray us. But through the silence, in the silence, is when we hear that still small voice, "Your experiences don't dictate who you are, you are My child and you are accepted." When we stop long enough to listen, and be still, that is when the grace of God washes over us like an ocean wave, and with the apostle Paul we declare, "Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and how inscrutable His ways...For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be glory forever. Amen!"
May the knowledge and pursuit of Him be our passion on this earth!

The Wonderful World of blogs!

As I begin this blog I find myself a little hesitant, hesitant because whenever you begin to publish your thoughts to a public audience you come under scrutiny for what you might think, believe, or say. Also, for those of you that know me, I can sometimes be very quite! I like to internalize what I'm thinking, take things in and work them over in my mind. Sometimes these thoughts make their way to the surface of my tongue where they are spoken, but often times not. Hence the blog, the opportunity and attempt at putting my thoughts out there in written form.
Feel free to join me in this journey, or not, the choice is up to you! All I know, and desire, is to know Him (Jesus Christ) more and more. Like the old hyme goes, "Turn your eyes upon Jesus, look full in His wonderful face and the things of earth will grow strangely dim, in the light of His glory and grace!" May the pursuit of Him and the Glory of His name be our passion!
